On January 1st, 1989 a Vow was made to build a Nichiren Park in my lifetime.

The years have gone by and over a thousand people have attended the Workshops, the Buddha Lessons, the Buddha Services, the Meditations, the Retreats.

In 2003 the formal Non Profit was set up in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, BC Canada. In 2009 our Society was granted a Registered Charity status with Canada Revenue.

THE VISION

To build here in Lotus Land [ Vancouver Island ] a beautiful Peace Center, Retreat Garden and Community Buddha Temple. Our Community Sangha hopes to manifest two to eight hectors of land, working with nature on Vancouver Island. A place for the release of busyiness, stress, a place of calmness, an opportunity to re-connect with One's inner core. A place to garden, a place to walk amongst the tall trees, a place for learning, realization and personal inspiration. A place to practice the faith of freedom.

Our Buddhist Community believes that ones personal growth and happiness is linked directly to the ability to help others. A shared responsibility in the philosophy of compassion and love.
