Discourse on Meditation, Three of Three

What Do You Hear --- What Do You See --- Mindfulness Meditation

"Hearing is about seeing. Seeing is about opening the mind, as well as our eyes!" HL

In our other Meditation Sessions we discovered Sound - Mantra Meditation the Five In One Meditation. We experienced new Insight in Deep Meditative JOY, we heard the Sound of Silence, and we have shared information on The Walking Meditation. We learned the "Ten Qualities of Meditation:"

We are all gardeners! Each responsible for the seeds within our garden, be that anger, happiness, suffering or joy. Like a garden we find ourselves either at the planting, the maturing or the harvest in the Seasons of our life in the here and Now.Regardless of your view of meditation, at this stage, it is important to understand that with practice you are awakening the power of compassion and releasing the root of suffering.

All meditation comes from the ancient art of Yoga in the east. In our day and age Meditation means many different things to each of us. Certainly for half a century now, in North America, meditation is realized and has proven to be a method of release from tension, a method to reduce heart and mind stress. Our body is the temple, our mind the magic and meditation the diamond jewel within. This is what we shall be discussing and practicing over these three sharing sessions that will give you the opportunity to practice the discipline of regular spiritual meditation exercise. I hope we can begin with the premise that meditation is a spiritual exercise of the body, mind and beyond, whatever beyond means to You.
